Well worth a visit

Peter Barn is situated in the Forest of Bowland area of the Ribble Valley, ideally placed for visits to the Lakes, the west coast or the Yorkshire Dales.

WADDINGTON - Its babbling brook and the beautiful Coronation Gardens have earned Waddington its “Best Kept Village” award. King Henry VI (Henry the Good) lived for twelve months here but was captured down-river at Brungerley Bridge.

CLITHEROE - The 800-year old market town of Clitheroe, with its interesting specialist shops, castle with fantastic views, museum and gardens is four miles distant.

WALLEY - The ancient village of Whalley with its ruined Abbey is seven miles along picturesque country lanes via Bashail Eaves and Mitton.

PENDLE HILL - songs have been written of our famous landmark and its history of witches.

RIBCHESTER - visit the ancient river side village built on the site of the Roman Station of Brementenacum. The Museum houses displays of Roman life and artefacts with the remains of the Bath House nearby.

BROWSHOLME HALL Historic House visitor attraction and Wedding Venue. - just ten minutes along our lane.

BLACKPOOL - only 45 minutes drive to the Tower.

The Lake District is reached by the M6 or via Trough of Bowland and Lancaster.

The A59 runs eastwards to Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales.

The west coast from Southport to the Morecarnbe Bay area is within easy driving distance.

FISHING - on the River Ribble and Stocks Reservoir.
